Coruisk House has welcomed lovers of the mountains for over a hundred years. It is situated in the tiny fishing village of Elgol on the west coast of Skye; the majestic Cuillin Mountains are a dramatic backdrop to the village, rising straight from the shore for over 3,000 feet to form the mighty Cuillin Ridge. Loch Coruisk can be reached from the house by walking along the shores of Loch Scavaig past Camasunary
The house has been restored with care to retain its last-century charm and is blessed with an informal and relaxed character reflected in its log fires both in the lounge and restaurant dining room.
The Elgol fishermen supply our restaurant daily; local venison and the very best Angus beef, as well as vegetarian fare, ensure eating at Coruisk House will be an experience we know you will enjoy. We also have a choice of local brewed beer, a good wine selection and over 30 malt whiskies to sample. Cooking is our passion and a feast is guaranteed! Our record for a lobster from boat to table is 40 minutes!
We pride ourselves on ensuring our guests are comfortable, well fed and well looked after; we would be delighted to welcome you to Coruisk House.
